It’s a philosophy born of our own founder’s drive for excellence. Rob Scofield first began selling shoes in retail at the tender age of 14, was a buyer/manager at 18 and by 23 was pioneering Asian footwear sourcing and working his way up the ranks of the old Armkor International. “The University of Armkor” as Scofield fondly remembers it. Never content to settle, Rob’s entrepreneurial spirit drove him to found Chinook in 1988 and since that time he, and a team of dedicated employees have grown the company into a truly global enterprise with manufacturing resources around the world – including a dedicated US facility, a slew of proprietary technologies and a penchant for constant innovation.
